Heavy rains and threats of lightning have seriously disrupted the second round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge. This will end on Saturday from 7:45 a.m. local (6:45 a.m. in France). Ryan Fox and Luke Donald were very provisionally in the lead at -8 after only three holes played… Not one of the four Frenchmen present at Sun City occupied a place in the top 20.
Rain, lots of rain, lightning bolts, dangerous, and finally a Gary Player Country Club flooded… Here is the lackluster menu offered during this 2nd round of the Nedbank Golf Challenge finally postponed to Saturday morning from 7:45 a.m. local (6:45 a.m. in France) after more than three and a half hours of game interruption.

None of the 66 golfers entered in this event with a 6 million dollar prize pool could go further than 11 holes. Thursday night leader with a fabulous 64 (-8), Ryan Fox sharing at -8 commands – very temporarily – with English Luke Donaldauthor of a birdie on par 5 of 2 (against a birdie also at 2 and a bogey at 3 for the Kiwi).

Best French on Thursday after the first 18 holes with a solid 70 (-2), Romain Langasque back to the leaderboard. The Azurean indeed displays a +1 after 7 holes for a total score of -1. He occupies a still very symbolic 23rd place… You then have to go beyond the top 40 to find Antoine Rozner (43rd at +2 after 8 holes), followed by Victor Perez et Matthew Pavon (52nd at +3, respectively after 6 and 5 holes).
