The impulse helped, the end of the individualists. And now to win at Sparta! the cabin is commanded by an excited Kladrubský

“We worked on psychology and teamwork, so that no one played for themselves and we didn’t just look at individual players. We simplified it a bit, relaxed the atmosphere in order to prepare well,” revealed Lerch after Saturday’s 3:2 win over Zbrojovka Brno.

The former assistants had to get to work quickly after the end of head coach Jozef Weber. “A very demanding week for me personally. In B, I only watched the opponent’s standard situations, now I have seen three whole matches of Brno and dealt with all the details. I’m pleased with how the boys were able to transfer it to the pitch,” Kladrubský did not hide his joy.

A model match between the old and the young also livened up the preparations. Kladrubský was excited by how the players fought, so he interrupted the match and told them that he wanted to see the same commitment in the league.

Midfielder Patrik Hellebrand also confirmed that the atmosphere in the cabin has changed. “I was hoping that I wouldn’t get this question,” he grinned at the press conference first. “There is always an impulse after a change. We followed the instructions and we are very happy for the win. Now we would like to score points at Sparta and the autumn could be good,” he answered finally a brave 23-year-old midfielder.

Sparta? Excitement and winning

Budějovice collect points mainly away from home and thanks to that they are currently in 11th position. Autumn ends on Saturday at Letná. On the ground of the team with which he won the Kladrubský title and the Czech Cup.

“I haven’t been to Sparta as a coach yet. I’m also looking forward to the people, now I don’t know exactly if I’ve played with any of the current players yet. However, our task will be to prepare the squad as best as possible,” believes the former defender or defensive midfielder.

South Bohemians definitely do not travel to Prague just for a trip. “We’re going out to win. We will want to surprise and grab some points,” Dynamo midfielder Nicolas Penner makes no secret of his ambitions.

What about Kladrubský? “Of course, we want to win every game,” agrees the coach, aware of his team’s form at Letná. The balance of the last three duels is a draw – one home win (1:0), one away win (2:4) and one draw (3:3) ).
