The IES La Orden Badminton Club quarry has been the main protagonist of the seventh final day of the 2022 Huelva Provincial Circuit held last Saturday, November 12, at the Diego Lobato Sports Pavilion. A total of 60 club athletes of all ages participated in the tournament, taking the podium in the different categories after winning 15 gold and 12 silver medals.
The albiazul club has also swept the final classification of the circuit after 13 athletes or couples have been placed as number 1 in the provincial ranking.
Quite a success for a club that has the best and most promising academy in the entire province of Huelva, according to the results. In this sense, the president of the IES La Orden, María Eugenia Lorenzo, highlighted “the good work that is being done in the badminton schools” set up in different facilities in the capital and the province of Huelva. “Our boys and girls not only learn world-class badminton, but they also make friends and learn values such as healthy competition, work and effort,” she says.
For his part, coach José González assures that these results demonstrate “the great involvement of the athletes and the entire technical team when it comes to training the youth team and instilling in them a passion for this sport.”
