The great family of Delphi rewards human values ​​in sports in Sierense territory

Dozens of sports lovers met yesterday at the Lugones Integrated Multipurpose Center. The Delfos Awards left their native Langreo for the first time to offer an entertaining gala in Sierense territory in which the creator of the largest scale model of a stadium in the world, Javier Grela, glossed over the Career Awards. These fell on Adolfo Alperi Plaza (former cyclist); Javier Villa Garcia (pilot); Carmen López (surfer); the Olympic Family of Asturias; the Teodoro Cuesta Cycling Club and the Oviedo Badminton Club.

The former athlete Alba García was the winning athlete of the Regional Award. In turn, Delfos recognized the work of technicians Omar González and Maite Montes; as well as the management of Sergio Villanueva in the Atlética Avilesina. As sports entities, the Oriente Athletics Club and the Patinalón Hockey Club were awarded. The Shared Special Award fell to the host council. It was taken by the Langreo Swimming Club Canoeing Section and the Siero Kayak Club, which shared its facilities with its neighboring competitors during the pandemic. The event was attended by the mayor of Siero, Ángel García; the general director of Sports, Aida Nuño, and the director of Valnalón, Marta Pérez.
