On Friday morning, the press conference was held where the 2022 edition of the Final Quadrangular of the Basketball Association of the City of Corrientes was formally presented. The event that took place at the ABCC office formalized the competition that will begin next Monday, November 14 and will be played in its entirety at the José Jorge Contte.
The contest that will put into play the Municipality Cup of the City of Corrientes brings together the four best teams in the regular phase of the Official Tournament: Hércules (1st), Regatas (2nd), Córdoba (3rd) and Pingüinos (4th ).
The president and vice president of the ABCC, José Rolnik and Marcelo Dascenzo, were part of the conference, who were accompanied by Matías Bocalón, Undersecretary of Sports and Major Events of the Municipality. In addition, the coaches Javier Skiarski (Hércules), Diego Checenelli (Regattas), Germán Roldán (Córdoba) and Silvio Ramírez (Penguin Assistant) were present.
The president of the Association said: “We are very happy to be able to carry out our biggest party again, and we hope that everything turns out in the way that an event of this type deserves. We want people to accompany, as it did in the edition 2021, and now at the Club de Regatas stadium there will be the possibility for more people to attend”.
“On behalf of the Association, I want to thank the Municipality and the Provincial Sports Secretariat for the support they give us by accompanying the tournament. We are more than sure that everything will turn out very well, and that sport will be the main protagonist” Rolnik added.
The Final Quadrangular
The semifinals between Hércules against Pingüinos, and Regatas against Córdoba, will be played on Monday the 14th, Friday the 18th, and if necessary, on Monday the 21st, all at the José Jorge Contte Stadium of the Corrientes Regatta Club.
The best of three games will be played, and the two winning teams will advance to the grand final in search of the MCC Cup, also a best of three series that will be played on Wednesday the 23rd, Monday the 28th and Wednesday the 30th, if necessary.
