Organized by the Club Banco Provincia and accompanied by the Government of Junín, the first date of the Copa “Amor a las mascotas” tennis tournament was held. On this occasion, the competition called for 14 categories between ladies and gentlemen, for this reason the activity marks the continuity of the calendar for several more dates. This scenario demonstrates the growth of the discipline in recent times, once again positioning Junín as a sports pole in the Region.
In this regard, Claudio Yópolo, director of Sports of the Municipality congratulated the organization of the competition and said: “We are very happy to accompany, we continue to complete a year of all sports and tennis is no exception, many people are joining to practice discipline, that makes us very happy”.
“The work carried out by Maximiliano (Domínguez) and Bautista (Bustos) is relevant, the place is very nice, impeccable, the property is well cared for, ideal to start a Regional tournament, which once again leaves Junín positioned as a sports pole, we are going to continue supporting, as requested by the mayor Pablo Petrecca, to be close to the institutions, today we have to be here, ”said the official regarding the work from the institution.
About the competition, Yópolo said that “women participate in this first date of the tournament, and in the next dates the gentlemen will join, ending the year in this way is gratifying, looking forward to 2023 thinking about much more work, trusting that Junín is a sports pole, a benchmark at the Regional level”.
For his part, Maximiliano Domínguez, tennis teacher and coordinator of the competition, said: “We are starting with the “Love of Pets” Cup, it is a mixed competition, where on this date only the ladies category is disputed, and from The mixed tournament begins next weekend, there are 14 categories in total, it will last one month, taking into account the number of registered teams.
As for the growth of the discipline at the local level, Bautista Bustos, tennis teacher at Club Banco Provincia, declared that “the development of tennis is getting bigger and bigger, from tournament to tournament there are many people who join to register, and this is also thanks to the accompaniment that we have as a sport from the Municipality, the support we receive is continuous, with Maximiliano (Domínguez) we work hard so that the discipline grows, we are very happy”.
