According to ADNSur, the support assistant, Matías Torreshad the witty idea to silence with tennis balls the benches and chairs that often drag on the floor and squeak all the time.
“Joaquín copies from the blackboard, does the activities, plays soccer at recess, goes to the library. You more or less mark the path for him and continue alone. He has a good relationship with his classmates”pointed out the teacher who accompanies him in the classroom.
Following the idea of the teacher, parents and students got down to work and dedicated themselves to looking for tennis balls in clubs, neighborhoods and courts.
“I started collecting little balls on tennis and paddle tennis courts, and everyone joined the initiative. People show solidarity and put themselves in each other’s shoes. The classmates and the entire educational environment have a very great commitment to inclusion,” said the teacher.
Also, the silence of the tennis balls made the students themselves change their habits and realize that it was healthier for everyone to lift the bencheswhile, little by little, their quality of life began to improve and allowed them to recognize themselves in the other.
“The boys understand that the benches have to be lifted. They are an excellent group and they understood absolutely everything, they took it upon themselves to tell the director of the afternoon shift. They took care of the project, which is coming in very well and hopefully it will spread to many schools”Torres said.
Meanwhile, the teacher commented that the habit of being silent was generated, so now the new normality is to listen to each other, while he trusted that this unique experience can be repeated in other institutions in the province.
