Talavera Basketball seeks its first victory as a visitor

With high spirits after having achieved their victory in the last league match, in which perhaps it has been the best of the games played by Baloncesto Talavera to date in league competition, which by the way would be resolved with a 105-82 against Former CB Tormes, it’s time to try to prolong the positive dynamics this weekend and extend it away from home, a pending task at the moment.

They play two consecutive weeks ahead in which they will play with the ‘visitor’ poster, with a break in between, yes. The first of these outings arrives in the afternoon – night of this Sunday, November 6, and on the track of one of the roosters of this ‘West’ Group, which is none other than the Rioverde Clavijo.

The numbers of the Riojans speak for themselves, since they are currently the second team in the general standings, which forms, together with Damex UDEA Algeciras, the duo of pursuers of the unbreakable UBU Tizona to date, who adds all their matches by victories. With a balance 4-1 are those of Jenaro Díaz, a powerful block that has also incorporated into the ranks during these days center David John Sainsbury, a youth squad from Estudiantes and who even made his debut with the first team, apart from having extensive international experience.

It is a team that comes from three consecutive victories and that pays off its points very well, because although it is the second worst in the offensive section (362 points) it should also be noted that it has one of the best defenses in the championship (320 ). The North American Andre Lazar Norris is the strong man in this start of the competition for Clavijo with his 73 points and best accumulated rating to date (76), although the contribution of the Nigerian Robert Ukawuba (52 points) or the rebounding power should also be highlighted by Javier Nicolau (16 offensive and 14 defensive rebounds).

Looking ahead to this match, it should be noted that Ricardo Úriz will be able to count on all his troops, including a Thomas who was the last to arrive at the team’s discipline and who last weekend had the opportunity to

being able to help the team to that second league victory at home.

The meeting between Logroño and Talaverano, which can be followed via ‘streaming’ through CanalFEB.tv and the “CANALFEB” App, corresponding to the sixth day within the ‘Oeste’ Group of LEB Plata, will start at 7:00 p.m. hours this Sunday at the Palacio de los Deportes de La Rioja, in Logroño, being directed by members Alejandro López Lecuona (Basque Country) and Yeray Romero Matute (Aragón).
