The youngster of the Soria Basketball Club Jorge Gil is one of those summoned by the Basketball Federation of Castilla y León for the concentration that the regional minibasket pre-selection will carry out, on November 19 and 20, in the Salamanca town of Peñaranda de Bracamonte.
Twenty players will exercise over two days, of which eighteen have already participated in the previous concentrationheld on October 29 in Valladolid.
That a player trained in his Children’s school enters the plans of the Technical Area of the Basketball Federation of Castilla y León is an important recognition of the hard work that, since its foundation -back in 2015-, the Soria Basketball Club develops with the little ones.
Leon and Valladolid, With five players each, they are the provinces that contribute the most players to a pre-selection that also includes four fry from Palencia, three from Burgos and one from both Salamanca and Segovia.
Eight of the players who trained in the preparatory session at the end of October in Valladolid have been ruled out.
George Gil He is 11 years old and has already participated in the concentration that during the past Holy Week brought together 76 players in the town of Béjar, Salamanca. In this same place, at the beginning of June, the Castilla y León PRD National Team Championship was held, to which the CSB player attended as part of the Soria provincial team.
Concentrations such as the one that will take place in Peñaranda de Bracamonte will serve to determine who are the twelve chosen to form the Castilla y León team that will participate, in April 2023, in the Spanish Championship of Autonomous Minibasket Selections. Jorge Gil is a second-year junior and plays this season in the CSB Infantil Masculine B which, under the command of Gonzalo de Domingo and José Javier Carnicero, competes in the Second Division Regional Championship. Last season, when he made his debut in the category, he was proclaimed champion of the Castilla y León mini-basketball Cup with the Alevín of Club Soria Baloncesto.
