Stricker, Lehecka and Nakashima, to the semifinals in Milan

The NextGen Finals, the great tennis event of the future that takes place these days in Milan, already has its first three designated finalists. The Czech Jiri Lehecka, the Swiss Dominik Stricker and the American Brandon Nakashima have guaranteed themselves a place on Thursday among the four players who will play for the title of ‘masters’ up to 21 years old.

Lehecka achieved it with his victory against the Italian Arnaldi. He came from beating Passaro, another transalpine, in his debut, and of falling to Nakashima in their second duel. He needed a victory that he secured with a 4-3 (5), 4-1 and 4-3 (4) in an hour and 20 minutes.

His rival at the bottom of the table will be the Swiss Dominik Stricker, the sensation of a red group that has won with plenty of triumphs. Musetti and Draper have already fallen and this Thursday he took charge of the Taiwanese Tseng: 4-2, 4-1 and 4-2 in less than an hour, after starring in two marathon matches before.

Nakashima also remains undefeated, having already knocked out Arnaldi and Lehecka. The last one, in three sets, so he arrived fresh against a Passaro that also lasted three sets: 4-3 (4), 4-2 and 4-1 in one hour and three minutes. He will face the winner of the last duel of the day, between Musetti and Draper.
