The Salento Stephen Santoyoung athlete born in 2008, from Campi Salentina, who fights with the colors of the Martial Arts School “Dojo Arashi” of San Cesario di Lecce, obtained third place at the Italian Judo championships, in the Under 15 category.
the young judoka reached this goal, facing a qualifying session against the best athletes of the various regions, obtaining a good position in the national ranking list, after which he went to face the best of all Italy, in Ostia.
He trained with the Master Andrew Letters together with all his collaborators.
This is only the beginning for the Salento athlete, the next appointments will be increasingly difficult for him, but he will certainly not fail to obtain other great results.
The “Dojo Arashi” is present with teams, ready to give their best in the national competition. Valerio Margiotta, Marco De Vitis and Giacomo Calò respectively in the -50, -60 and -73 kg categories, in fact, went down to the competition square with the maximum effort and the right tenacity with good results, winning the first matches without any flaws, but then they were unable to find the right rhythm that would have allowed them to move forward in the world championship competition.
