Sports events such as badminton and 3-on-3 basketball will be held one after another in Samcheok City this weekend.

First, the ’23rd Gangwon-do Governor’s Sports Badminton Tournament’ will be held at Samcheok Gymnasium for two days from November 26th to 27th.

Hosted by the Gangwon-do Sports Association and supervised by the Gangwon-do Badminton Association and the Samcheok City Badminton Association, this tournament will start with an opening ceremony at 1:00 pm on the 26th, and will be held in each city and county in Gangwon-do, including a preliminary league on the 26th and a final tournament on the 27th. Men’s doubles, Women’s doubles and mixed doubles will be held in three events.

The city hopes that this tournament will be a place of harmony and festival for badminton clubs in each city and county associations in Gangwon-do, and expects to contribute to improving the quality of life of the people through revitalization of badminton as a daily sport.

In addition, the ‘2022 Wonderful Samcheok National Student 3-3 Basketball Party’ will be held at the Samcheok Civic Gymnasium for two days from November 26th to 27th.
