What sport will I play when I grow up? To discover your talent, the best strategy is to try. For this the “Cedar 2.0” project of the Municipality of Rovigo has put on the net a variety of city sports realities, which offer children and young people all kinds of disciplines. Among these there is an excellence of Rovigo like the Baseball Softball Club, which even in winter offers indoor activities for the little ones and more. “This season we carry out activities in schools, not only in the city but throughout the province, to promote the game of baseball – explains Loris Bucca, manager of the club -. We want get kids to try sports in general, not just ours, so that they can discover what their talents are”. In the cold season the activities of the Baseball Softball Club take place indoors: for i children aged 6 to 9 years the appointment is twice a week at the Tintoretto gym, while for older kids there are activities every day at the Barbujani gym in Tassina. There is also a completely new and unique sector in the regional panorama: the club from Rovigo is in fact the only one in the Veneto region to have a proposal for baseball for the blind. “The purpose of this sport – explains Daniele Marzana, one of the athletes – is to be protagonists of the game independently, to be able to compete alone”.
