In the fight for a place in the final, the US team “Omaha” faced off, which could not stop the Latvians, although the intrigue in the match was until the last seconds. At the end of the game, “Riga” celebrated the victory with 20:18. Ten points for “Riga” were provided by Lasmanis, who also grabbed six rebounds.
It has already been announced that on Friday, in the group stage, the Latvian team defeated the Qatari team “Lusail” (22:9) and beat the Dutch “Utrecht” (21:6) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. The two best teams of the group advanced to the quarterfinals.
