Hamburg (dpa/lno) – After the round of 16 in the BBL Cup against the giants Ludwigsburg, the Veolia Towers Hamburg want to take revenge on Sunday (3 p.m.) in the Bundesliga duel with the southern Germans for the 86:92 defeat. But the Ludwigsburg are anything but a favorite opponent of the Hanseatic League. The North Germans have lost eight of the nine comparisons so far. At least one statistic speaks for the fact that it could now be enough for the second win. The Towers currently have the best defense in the league after five games. On the other hand, Ludwigsburg is currently number two on offense in the BBL. “That says it’s not our great weakness,” said Towers head coach Raoul Korner in view of the data collection, but added: “If that’s still the case after the first half of the season, then that’s meaningful.”
The towers, on the other hand, are more concerned about the high number of ball losses. “You can always play a better pass than to an opponent,” Korner said jokingly, but admitted: “Our two creative players are still very young and have no experience at this level.
