Report: Jeff Bezos shows interest in buying the Washington Commanders

After 23 years as owners, Dan and Tanya Snyder have considered vender a los Washington Commanders in the midst of an investigation by US authorities for tax fraud.

Despite all this, People reports that Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon has shown interest in acquiring the Commanders. The mogul has a reported fortune of $125 billion and the cost of the NFL franchise is set to be just over $6 billion.

One of his partners would be the rapper Jay-Z, who was a minority owner of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets. In addition, the NFL’s link with the businessman is great since Amazon is the streaming chain that broadcasts Thursday Night Football in the United States.

In the 2022 NFL season, Commanders are 4-4 after eight weeks and have used Carson Wentz and Taylor Heinicke as their starting QBs. On defense, the Washington team is waiting for Chase Young to make a proper recovery and for now they have relied on Jonathan Allen and Daron Payne.
