Registration is open for the Christmas Technification Clinic

Jaka Lakovic, Víctor García and AJ Slaughter will give master classes at the clinic.

The registration period for the Technification Clinic of Christmas of the Gran Canaria Basketball Club. It will take place in the Insular Pavilion of La Vega de San José from December 26 to 30 during hours of 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

will be five days of maximum intensity in which registered players will be able to take advantage of the Christmas season to improve different technical aspects of their game. It is a clinic for improvement and refinement of basketball with small groups of male and female players born between 2007 and 2010. *After consultation, we will assess the registration of those born in 2011.

The Clinic will have the following Masterclasses:

Jaka Lakovic “Tiro”: The head coach of the Endesa League Gran Canaria will make his knowledge available to the participants in the clinic. A professional player for twenty years, between 1996 and 2016, he added league titles in Greece and Spain, in addition to lifting the Euroleague trophy in 2010. He was a legend in Panathinaikos and Barça, being a point guard respected for his high level of intelligence in the court and his shooting ability. As a coach, after three seasons at the helm of ratiopharm Ulm, he signs for Gran Canaria in the summer of 2022.

Victor Garcia “Pass”: The Gran Canaria coach is a coach trained at the club. After great successes in training categories, he joined Pedro Martínez’s coaching staff in the 10-11 season. He has been a fundamental piece in the formation of the coaching staff ever since, being a participant in the great recent successes of the first team. In addition, he was one of Sergio Scariolo’s assistant coaches in the 2019 World Cup gold, and EuroBasket 2021 gold with Spain.

AJ Slaughter “Bote y tiro”: Born in Louisville in 1987, AJ Slaughter has been a Gran Canaria player since the 2020-21 season. His professional career began in Italy in 2010, and he has played for teams such as Panathinaikos or ASVEL Lyon, playing minutes in the EuroLeague and lifting the French and Greek Cups. In addition, he has been an international with Poland since June 2015, and stands out for his scoring ability.
