Potosina will represent Mexico in Pan American Judo – El Sol de San Luis

The youthful judoka from San Luis Potosí, Cristina Marceleño, will represent Mexico in the Under 13 and Under 15 Pan American Children’s Championship in Panama, from November 23 to 27.

Prior to her trip, Mayor Enrique Galindo Ceballos received her in his offices to learn firsthand from the young lady how her sports career has developed, along with her career in judo.

Cristina Marceleño Rivera told her that she is the first national team from Potosi to be selected in the judo discipline and not only that, she holds first place in the ranking in her category, so the responsibility is great, but she feels motivated and prepared to face this commitment. Pan-American.

“I am nervous but at the same time motivated -commented the judoka- but with the firm idea of ​​leaving everything and looking to bring a medal to Mexico and San Luis Potosí. I appreciate the support that the San Luis City Council gives me, because this represents something very significant for those of us who are athletes”.

The Municipal President mentioned that he will always support sports and athletes from Potosí, so that they can make their dreams come true, and raise not only San Luis Potosí, but also Mexico. He took the opportunity to give him the green World Cup shirt of the municipality of the capital.

The act was witnessed by Luis Fernando Alonso Molina, director of Municipal Sports, and Cristina Marceleño’s coach.

It is worth mentioning that the Pan American Championship “Panama 2022” starts this November 24 with the Sub 13 category, on the 25th the Sub 15 enters action, and on the 26th and 27th will be the qualifier for El Salvador 2023 and Super Veterans Cup.
