Porzingis: My task is to make the game easier for my partners

Kristaps Porzingis

Washington Wizards player

“In these games without Brad, we didn’t play as disciplined as we should have, we just went with the flow. Everyone was trying to do good, but there was a lack of structure. A lot of credit for the win goes to Jordan Goodwin who played a really good match. Let’s try to take the best from this match.”

Guard Goodwin scored 17 points, five assists and four steals in just his seventh NBA game.

“From the first minutes when he stepped on the pitch, you could see that he was 100% in the game. He made the right decisions, worked for the team, read the game and made shots when needed,” Porzingis highlighted his teammate’s performance.

The Latvian basketball player also emphasized that it is more difficult to play without Bīl, because there is no one to strengthen his game. In such situations, Porzingis tries to strengthen cooperation with other teammates, such as Kyle Kuzma.

“I try to work for the team so that we are victorious. My job is to make the game easier for my partners. If I need to create a result and be aggressive, then I will do that, if I need to work for my teammates, then I will do that too. If the coach wants it, I will do everything for us to play better,” emphasized Porzingis.
