Poole Party for the Warriors, Butler locks out Booker

The results of the night in the NBA

Raptors @ Pistons : 115-111
Hornets @ Magic : 112-105
Thunder @ Celtics : 122-126
Suns @ Heat : 112-113
Clippers @ Rockets : 122-106
Hawks @ Bucks : 121-106
Spurs @ Warriors : 95-132

– In the absence of Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole was back in the Warriors’ five tonight for the San Antonio reception. The tenure suit fits him like a glove. Poole put down 36 points at 13/20 with some insane actions, like this 4-point streak at the start of the 4th quarter.

Jordan Poole did so much of the work up front in a one-sided game that Stephen Curry (16 pts, 5 pds, 5 rebounds) and Andrew Wiggins (10 pts) did not have to force. Golden State remains very solid at home and will now have to be less passive outside its bases (0-7 for the moment)…

– This is a very “Miami Heat” victory that will please Pat Riley and the fans. The Floridians reversed a compromised situation (-13 in the fourth quarter) against Phoenix, with an intense duel between Jimmy Butler et Devin Booker on the last possession of the game. The rear of Miami got on the back of that of the Suns and managed to counter him, then to hinder him so that he did not enter a game winner which would have hurt a lot.

We must not forget that before that, Bam Adebayo (30 pts) had returned two throws to turn in the lead 35 seconds from the end and validated this little hold-up at home.

Jayson Tatum (27 pts) took the most abusive technical foul of the start of the season by clapping his hands in frustration, but that did not prevent Boston from getting out of a difficult situation against OKC. We wondered how Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was going to speak against the always intransigent defense of the Celtics and he brought a brilliant response despite the defeat: 37 points at 50%, 8 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 against.

Joe Mazzulla’s players still validated their 7th rank success with a Marcus Smart surprisingly sharp in the second half (20 of his 22 points) and after being 15 points behind in the 4th quarter. Derrick White (16 pts) and Payton Pritchard (10 pts) were instrumental in reversing the situation.

– Would the Hawks be the bane of the Bucks? It was already Atlanta who handed Milwaukee their first loss of the season and the third again came out of their hands. The 2021 champions are less well at the moment (3 defeats in 4 matches) after their hot start and even the return of Giannis Antetokounmpo (27 pts in 31 min) did not prevent the band from Trae Young (21 pts) to pull off another heist in Wisconsin.

DeAndre Hunter (24 pts), Clint Capela (19 pts) and Dejounte Murray (19 pts) in particular, have built this success which is the 5th for the Hawks in the last 7 matches.

Otherwise, we can note that Giannis is starting to take inspiration from Nikola Jokic, which can quickly become scary…

– When the Raptors showed up in Detroit without Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet and Gary Trent Jr, we thought it smelled a bit like pâté for them. It was to underestimate the desire of the second knives to shine and to show that their team is “deep”. Toronto ended its three-game losing streak with a career-high Dalano Banton (27 pts), Chris Boucher (20 points) and AND Anunoby (19 pts).

On the Detroit side, Killian Hayes started and played 24 minutes for 6 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 1 block at 3/6, while Jaden Ivey had 21 points and 8 assists.

– The Hornets have finally found their way to victory. The return of LaMelo Ball (17 pts, 9 wt), who played his second NBA game this season on the Orlando floor, is no stranger to it. The leader brought binder against the Magic and his team saw 7 players score at least 10 points, starting with the five holders.

In the absence of Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner (23 pts) and Wendell Carter Jr (20 pts) tried to do the job, in vain.

– The Clippers have fairly quietly imposed themselves in Houston. Paul George (22 pts) did not even have to take off the bench in the 4th quarter, the second unit taking care of managing the lead built against the Rockets.

Nicolas Batum was a little more bleeding last night than for most of the start of the NBA season: 10 points (4/7), 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 against for the captain of the Blues, who was able to calmly follow the tricolor success against Bosnia a few hours earlier.

The Blues qualified for the 2023 World Cup, Wembanyama top scorer
