Ponferrada receives 700 children at the Rugby Schools Festival

Ponferrada experienced two major sporting events this Saturday. The first turned the city into the regional capital of grassroots rugby, with the landing of more than 700 children to take part in the Rugby Schools Festival, which brought together 68 teams from all over the Ramón Martínez and Colomán Trabado fields. Castilla y León of the Sub 6 categories; Under 8; Sub 10 and Sub 12.

The second event was the V Lancaster International Championship and the XIX City of Ponferrada Archery Trophy, which was held in the Lydia Valentín pavilion and which brought together more than a hundred archers from Spain and Portugal.

The Councilor for Sports of the Ponferrada City Council, Iván Castrillo, was in charge of receiving, welcoming and participating in the delivery of trophies to the athletes of both competitions, in whose organization the Ponferrada City Council has participated.
