The Pokémon Company and the sports brand Puma join forces to launch a new line of sneakers for children and adults. Their designs are sufficiently limited to the first generation in the Kanto region. They are exactly models based on Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle y Pikachu.
Each design has the characteristic color of the Pokémon in question and some slight differences between them. With the exception of Squirtle’s, they are all tennis models for running or sports. Inside the shoe there is a silhouette of the Pokémon and Pichu, in the case of Pikachu.
An Elemental-type symbol accompanies the back of each pair of sneakers, while the soles have designs corresponding to the Pokémon depicted. Likewise, a small pendant with the face of the Pokémon gives it the definitive touch of identity. Plant, fire, water and electrical are of course the exposed types.
Although the shoes have not been officially announced by Puma or The Pokémon Company, different stores have listed the children’s models for a price of $90 USD and with a release date of November 12. Considering that the adult ones will cost more and that stocks don’t usually last very long, we envision a rare collectible not to be stepped on.
