nice experience for Red Clay

CASTELLAMONTE – Youth baseball is once again the protagonist and with it in the limelight there is also the reality that responds to the name of Red Clay Castellamonte. On this occasion, the concentration of the Western League kept alive the interest of the enthusiasts, a moment dedicated to the young players of the “hit and run”.

The boys who wear the red and purple of the Canavese team were engaged in Moncalieri, at the city sports hall, on Sunday 20 November 2022, where they faced off against four other rivals made up of athletes aged between 8 and 12 years.
The final balance of the day saw the Castellamontese finish with two wins and as many defeats. The first two came respectively against the Turin Grizzlies (final score of 7-3 for Red Clay) and against the Turin Jacks (6-2 match).

Instead the two stops both came against as many representatives of the Seventh: in one case the knockout was 2-0, in the second match instead the final score was 11-2.
“The competitive result is not relevant – they say from the Castellamonte team – but experiences like these serve more than anything else to let the new kids who have recently approached baseball play”. An excellent opportunity also to prepare for the next season which will be played on the clay “diamond”.

The next appointment with this competition is set for 2023, precisely on January 22, when the Red Clays will return to the field in the Granda Province, guests in the Fossano sports hall.
