Some poolers will need to find alternatives quickly, as wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Cooper Kupp, of the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Rams respectively, left action injured on Sunday.

Smith-Schuster will follow concussion protocol until proven otherwise. He was hit hard by Andre Cisco of the Jacksonville Jaguars when he tried to catch a pass from Patrick Mahomes. Stunned, he remained motionless on the pitch for a moment before painfully leaving the pitch. He will miss at least a week of activities.

The 25-year-old has caught 46 passes for 615 yards and two touchdowns in nine games so far this season. He is playing his first season with Kansas City after having started his career with five campaigns with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Kupp, for his part, hurt his ankle trying to get his hands on a John Wolford throw near the touchline. On the play, a defensive player fell on his leg.

Initial tests seem to have ruled out the worst, but the recipient will have to undergo more tests to determine the extent of the damage.

Kupp had 75 catches for 812 yards and six majors this season. He was named Most Outstanding Offensive Player in 2021 with 145 receptions, 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns.
