Neymar will not play against Switzerland and is doubtful against Cameroon

The start of Brazil in the World Cup in Qatar was almost unbeatable. Richarlison’s two goals (especially the second) confirmed the ‘canarinha’s’ candidacy, but not everything was positive. And it is that the match against Serbia ended with a tremendous scare.

The victim was one of the great stars of the team, Neymar. The PSG star was kicked all over the place, especially a very hard one from Milenkovic which made Tite replace it with winces.

Through tears, and showing his very swollen ankle, the striker was treated by the doctors of his team.

In the first exploration, the doctors determined a first diagnosis that did not bode well in terms of its continuity: suffers a sprain. This Friday the 25th, after the pertinent medical tests, it has been reported that he has a ligament injury and will not play against Switzerland. There are doubts that he will make it to the third game, against Cameroon, although according to Brazilian media they take his loss for granted.

He, meanwhile, tries to motivate himself as best he can. He made it clear in an instagram post, in which he shows an excerpt from a book: “Having faith is believe that everything will be fine even in the midst of chaos. And the certainty that the best is yet to come. And understand that everything has its due time. Faith is beyond human capacity, we cannot see it but we can feel it.

Brazil will face Switzerland on Monday and Cameroon on the final day of the group stage.
