Warriors core resting against Pelicans

Four of Golden State’s usual five starters will be rested for the Warriors-Pelicans game tonight in New Orleans.

Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins will all be on leave for the Warriors, who have lost their last four games.

Golden State wraps up a grueling five-game road trip in seven days by playing its second game in as many nights after losing 130-129 to the Orlando Magic on Thursday. It was only the second win in nine games for Orlando since the start of the season.

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said Thompson might not be able to play two nights in a row all season.

The defending champions are 3-6 this season.

The Warriors will likely be led by sixth man Jordan Poole, who is averaging 16.1 points per game this season.
