Murder Boiocchi, the police “closes” the Curva Nord: stop cheering for Inter-Bologna

from Cesare Giuzzi

The provision – unprecedented – comes after the assassination of the head of the North Vittorio Boiocchi, following which the fans were forced to leave the Curva. Complaints and Daspo for four ultras

After the four Daspo for the “expulsion” of the fans from the second green ring, the Milan Police Headquarters adopts a hard line. Stop cheering in the Curva Nord for Inter’s next home game against Bologna scheduled at San Siro on Wednesday 9 November at 8.45 pm. The decision came in concert between the commissioner Giuseppe Petronzi and the prefect Renato Saccone. An unprecedented measure that comes after a weekend of tension with the assassination of the head of the North Vittorio Boiocchi, killed under the house on Saturday evening an hour before Inter-Sampdoria, and the ultras who at the end of the first half forced several fans to abandon the second green ring “as a sign of mourning” for the death of their leader. For this reason, the Police Operational Security Group, also on the recommendation of the Committee on Public Order and Safety, has imposed a ban on access and display of banners, flags, megaphones and drums in the Curva Nord, for Inter-Bologna. The leadership of the ultras announced that the groups will still be present in the stands of San Siro: “Beyond the prohibitions, it will still be an opportunity for us to go back to doing what we do best and what we have to do: to encourage the team. Also because we are convinced that this is exactly what Vittorio would like. The typhus does not stop therefore. We therefore ask all Inter fans in the second green ring to wear black and blue (team shirt or other) and to wear a scarf to color the sector equally.».

As for the investigation into the expulsion from the curve on Saturday night, Digos denounced four ultras to the prosecutor’s office for private violence. Their position will almost certainly flow into the model 45 file, therefore at the moment without the hypothesis of a crime, which the Milan prosecutor’s office has opened in these hours on Inter’s North Curve. Among the denounced by Digos, a 52 year old resident in the province of Vareseprejudiced and already recipient of a previous Daspo, for which a 5-year Daspo was issued, a 31-year-old from Milan already under investigation by the Naples police headquarters for the possession of “pyrotechnic devices” used during Napoli-Inter e an 18 year old from Milan who, while firmly urging the fans to leave the sector, tugged and pushed one until it fell to the ground. A 2-year Daspo was issued for both. Finally for a 22-year-old with a clean record was banned for one year.

Already in March 2019 the sports judge had ordered the “closure” for a round, but with a suspended sentence for one year, of the second green ring of the North for the racist choirs of the Nerazzurri fans at the address of the Milan player Kessie during the derby. The sanction had been suspended for one year “with the caveat that, if a similar violation is committed during this period, the suspension will be revoked and the sanction will be added to that imposed for the new violation”.
