Good results were recorded this weekend among basketball players in Monteche.
U 18 girls. They brought back a great victory from Villefranche-de-Rouergue, by 67 to 62. The Montéchoises raced in the lead, arriving at half-time with a six-point lead (33 to 27). The coaches are proud of the girls who fought the whole match against a great team.
U 17 boys. First match of the championship and victory by 110 to 40 in Montech, against Saint-Lys Olympique Basket which they mistreated. A victory built thanks to a serious and committed defense.
U 15 boys. They conceded a narrow defeat to Caussade.
U 15 girls 1. After a very balanced, defensive first period, the Montéchoises were trailing by six points at halftime. “A difficult game, but our girls didn’t give up and came back to three points with three minutes remaining,” said Jeannine. More rebounds, aggressiveness, they finished very strong and won this meeting on the wire, by 44 to 41, against Laissac, a very good team from Aveyron.
U 15 girls 2. They brought back their first victory of the season from Gaillac, by 51 to 27. Félicie, the coach, appreciated the good cohesion of the team and its solidarity.
U 13 boys 1. They started with a defeat, by 50 to 23. “We did not manage to concretize all our actions of play, which did not allow us to win, confided the coach. We bet that the next time, the success will be the appointment.”
U 11. Logical defeat of the chicks at Moissac/Castelsarrasin Basket-Ball. But the girls were not discouraged and knew how to fight, especially in the third quarter. Congratulations to them for their listening and their application!
U 13 boys. Beautiful victory by 44 to 31, against Snac basket. A difficult fight, but the young Montéchois knew how to dominate this team until the end thanks to a good fighting spirit throughout the match.
