Mikkelsen dominated the Lusatia Rally at his first start with the Fabia RS Rally2

A number of Czech riders also presented themselves at the gravel competition. Adam Březík finished fourth and Erik Cais sixth. Technical problems at the end of the rally knocked Filip Mareš out of the game, who was fourth after ninth place.

The Škoda Motorsport factory team presented the new Fabia RS Rally2 special in mid-June, but it received the necessary homologation from the International Automobile Federation only later.
