The Murcian town of Las Torres de Cotillas hosted a scoring test for the national badminton ranking in sub 17 and absolute categories. The young Miguel Serrano Quereda won the second consecutive national test, playing the semifinal against his brother Mario Serrano (18-21, 21-19 and 21-17) and the final against Ángel Jiménez from Murcia (21-16 and 23 -twenty-one). In doubles, with his father Miguel Serrano Fernández, they were one set away from reaching the final. The other podium from Albacete was for Mario Serrano, in the men’s doubles, teaming up with the player of Russian origin Nikita Nikitin (Cartagena), who reached the final but had to settle for silver against Caparrós-Rodríguez.
