Mendoza, ready to compete in the final of the Evita National Games for the elderly : Press Government of Mendoza

The Mendoza delegation left this Monday for San Luis. The national meeting will take place from November 7 to 11.

A delegation of 51 people left today for San Luis to compete in the final of the Evita National Games for people over 60 years of age. A group of athletes left from the official beach of the Undersecretary of Sports, while the rest joined the Mendoza Bus Terminal and other meeting points, on their way to the neighboring province.

The athletes who will represent us in shuffleboard, toad, table tennis, paddle tennis, orienteering, newcom, trick and chess will seek to be among the best in the country, as they have been doing in recent editions.

The director of Social and Community Sports, Viviana Balzarelli, traveled to closely follow every detail of the games and accompany the participants from Mendoza. Moments before embarking on the trip, Ella Balzarelli stated that “although the game prevails in this national instance, from the area we always seek to consolidate the human group. We try to ensure that they live this experience of coexistence in the best way, that they feel like part of a family, that they strengthen ties with their peers and that camaraderie and solidarity are the protagonists of this trip. Games are a great socialization opportunity for them.”

The places of play in which they will compete will be:

  • Table tennis: Ave Fénix Sports Center.
  • Chess: Puntanidad Hall.
  • Yew: Hurricane San Luis Athletic Club.
  • Newcom and Truco: Club ASEBA.
  • Padel and toad: Blue Sport Indor.
  • Orientation: Park of the Nations.
