This past weekend the Euskadi Absolute Judo Championship was held in Hernani, which serves as a qualifier for the Spanish Championship, north sector, which will take place on November 19 in the Alava town of Amurrio.
The judokas of the Judo Club Adarra de Urnieta Borja Seco, Amets Karrera and the club’s teacher Iker Lizarribar obtained very good results.
On the one hand, Karrera, who has just participated in the Spanish Cup held in Valencia and in which he obtained a magnificent second place, also won the silver medal in Hernani, finishing runner-up in the Basque Country in the absolute category.
In the case of Borja Seco, who this season has won second place in the Spanish Cup in Suances and silver in the Super Cup in Avilés, both in the cadet category, he won the bronze medal in this last Euskadi Absolute Championship in the category of +100 kilos. It should be noted that this result is very good for the urnietarra, given that Borja is only 16 years old.
Finally, the Adarra de Urnieta Judo Club teacher, Iker Lizarribar, also competed on this occasion and won the gold medal in this same championship, in the category of more than 100 kilos.
