Local judokas win medals – El Sol del Centro

The delegation of judokas from Aguascalientes and various clubs from the Institute of Sports of the State of Aguascalientes (IDEA) obtained great results in the National Championship “Professor Adolfo Sosa”, after getting a total of 12 medals and positioning himself in the top six of the best athletes in the discipline, in an event that was held in the state of Querétaro.

With 85 percent assertiveness in obtaining medals, the results achieved by Aguascalientes are a sample of the great work that is carried out in state judo, thanks to the work carried out by coaches, athletes and each of the IDEA clubs.

The gold medal winners in this national competition were Brenda García in the U15 category of 53 kilograms; Krista Gallegos in the pre-infantile category +33 kilograms; Sahara García in pre-infantile -24 kilograms; Vanessa Gaytan in the junior category U21 -70 kilograms; Israel Suarez in the veteran category m3 -78 kilograms; and Selene Gaytan in the U15 +64 kilograms category.

For her part, another Aguascaliente who stood out was Siomara Pérez, who returned with the silver medal, in the first strength category – 66 kilograms.

Similarly, five other athletes from our entity won a bronze medal, being

Victoria Marín in the U13 branch -42 kilograms; Fernanda Jasso in the U13 category -47 kilograms; Alejandra Rangel in the junior branch U21 -48 kilograms; as well as Daniela Gaytan and Mateo Rosales, both in the U13 category.

Finally, José García and David from Aguascalientes obtained fifth and sixth place, in the U13 branch, -42 and +52 kilograms, respectively.
