VIVA Sport – The Badminton World Federation (BWF) updates the latest news regarding the BWF World Tour Finals 2022.
The tournament will initially be held in Guangzhou, China. However, BWF announced it was moving to the Nimibutr Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.
This change was conveyed by BWF through their official website. It will take place from December 7-11.
The reason for BWF moving the BWF World Tour Finals 2022, after consulting with the Chinese Badminton Association (CBA). The COVID-19 pandemic is the underlying reason.

Meanwhile, the list of athletes who have qualified for the 2022 BWF World Tour Finals will be released on November 22 after the closing of the 2022 Australian Open.
“BWF would like to thank CBA, the Guangzhou Municipal Government and the Guangzhou Sports Bureau for their excellent work,” wrote a BWF statement quoted on Tuesday 15 November 2022.
