Led by Kvitova! The Czechs already know who they will play against in the new competition

The United Cup will be played from December 29 to January 8 in Perth, Brisbane and Sydney, with 18 countries taking part in the ATP and WTA rankings. Participants will receive points in the world rankings and fight for a share of the $15 million endowment.

The new competition also attracted stars. Among those registered are the Polish world number one Iga Šwiateková and the winner of 22 Grand Slam tournaments Rafael Nadal from Spain. The Frenchwoman Caroline Garcia, the recent winner of the Tournament of Champions, will not be missing either. After a serious ankle injury, the German Alexander Zverev intends to return to the courts at the United Cup.

Individual matches will consist of two men’s and two women’s singles and mixed doubles. The group winners advance to the playoffs, the opening round of which will still be played in all three cities. The three advancing teams and one wild card will then compete for the title in Sydney.

In addition to Kvitová and Lehečka, the Czech nomination includes Tomáš Macháč, Lukáš Rosol, Dalibor Svrčina, Marie Bouzková and Jesika Malečková.

Group C (Sydney): USA, Germany, Czechia.
Group D (Sydney): Spain, Australia, Great Britain.
Group E (Brisbane): Italy, Brazil, Norway.
Group F (Perth): France, Croatia, Argentina.
