Latvian women’s handball team loses to Slovakians in the qualifying match / Article

In the game held in the city of Šala, Laura Miller was the top scorer for the Latvian national team, scoring eight goals.

In the first 15 minutes, the Slovaks took the lead 14:4, and in the rest of the game, the advantage of the home team was never less than six goals.

The return match will take place on Sunday in Valmiera, and the winners will advance to the next round.

The national team led by head coach Natālijas Kudryavtseva includes only handball players playing in Latvian clubs, and five of the 15 players have not yet reached the age of 18.
