The parents of the students who go to Bodrum for basketball games, drawing attention to the difficulties and risks of this situation for their children, called out to the authorities:

UNSOLVED HALL PROBLEM

Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Milas Vocational High School faculty member Dr. Mehmet Daily said: “Is the importance given to youth and sports only valid for certain branches of sports? On a rainy day, we sent our pupils to Bodrum, who had to play the basketball game they should have played in Milas, as they do every weekend, in Bodrum due to the still unsolved hall problem.”

THE HALL DISPLAYED BY THE MİLAS BEELDİYE WAS SEEN INSUFFICIENT

The diary continued as follows: “The margins of the field, which was shown to us to play our matches in the Atatürk Sports Complex belonging to the Milas Municipality and that did not have a tribune, were not found suitable for playing an official match by the federation official. Since the ground of the other big field where volleyball matches are played is made only for volleyball matches, we also play our matches in Bodrum that we should have played in Milas.

Our children are entrusted first to God and then to the captain who drives the vehicle. I hope their journey goes well. They go safe and come back safe. There is only one hope left for us to be able to play our matches in Milas: the hall, which was built by the Muğla Youth and Sports Directorate and is still under construction.”

REQUESTS FROM GOVERNOR BÖKE

Dr. He concluded his daily speech as follows: “According to the information given by our Milas Youth and Sports Manager, Mr. Durmuş Tayfun Uslu, the hall built by the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports will be delivered on January 15, 2023. I request all relevant authorities, especially Milas District Governor Mr. Mustafa Ünver BÖKE, to follow the process.”
