Tottenham tried to catch up and gain momentum as Harry Kane narrowed the gap in the 70th minute. The goal provided a morale boost for the hosts, but Liverpool managed to hold them back and keep the lead.
Tottenham’s goal became an evaluation material for Liverpool, especially regarding Darwin Nunez. Nunez was not directly at fault for the goal, but he was caught off guard in his stint against Eric Dier.
Dier became the player who started the process for the Spurs goal, then passed to Matt Doherty, which was followed by a pass to Dejan Kulusevski. Kulusevski was the creator of Kane’s goal.
