Kevin Durant co-owner of an NFL franchise?

Since controversial owner Dan Snyder has begun maneuvering to sell the Washington Commanders, formerly the Redskins, investors are beginning to position themselves to recover the NFL franchise from the federal capital.

“In a perfect world, I would be part of it. I would like to do it,” explained Kevin Durant, a Washington native and lifelong fan of the team. “I’d like to put some of my money into being associated with Commanders, but we’ll see. Hopefully with someone good. I’ve heard of Bezos and Jay-Z, but you never know.”

Kevin Durant could thus be associated with Jeff Bezos and Jay-Z in this project. However, if he explains that he is ready to invest financially, the Brooklyn winger warns that he does not want to get involved in the management of the franchise.

“I would probably stay more of a fan than trying to get involved with the team. It would be good for my family, and just for our family, it would be amazing to be part of this group. I will get closer a little more from the team if I get the chance Just to try to learn the business, try to learn from a management and leadership perspective, from a coaching perspective, and try to get closer players.”
