At the International 250 judoka from 26 clubs from 3 nations took part in the GALLIA Schlumpf tournament for U10 and U12 junior judoka in Gallneukirchen. The Luftenberger judo section was there with 8 judo kids. In this large starting field, the path to a top position was anything but easy.
This year’s serial winner Mikusch Mara in the class U10-36kg at the start fought her way to the final with 4 clear Ippon victories and defeated her opponent there as well. She celebrated the seventh tournament win in just as many tournament starts in 2022.
Unfortunately, the other Luftenberger starters were denied a podium place. The closest to them were Stütz Helena U12-44kg with 4th place, Schöfl Josef U10-34kg and Reitinger Lukas U10-38kg with 5th place each.
This tournament was also the last of this year and our young fighters can look back on a SUPER year 2022 with 20 tournament victories, 22 second and 10 third places.
