In Guanajuato the International Robotics and Skills Championship is held

Leon, Gto. Federative entities from the south to the north of the country and also other nations of the American continent are part of the 2022 International Robotics and STEM Skills Championship.

This championship is a platform for robotics students to compete next year in the VEX Robotics World Championship 2023 tournament.

The objective of this championship is that students of basic, secondary and upper secondary education from the states of Tamaulipas, Quintana Roo, Chihuahua, Michoacán, Querétaro, Coahuila, Aguascalientes, Jalisco, State of Mexico, Guerrero, develop their skills in robotics.

From today until December 1, 117 teams will compete, which will have to test their abilities in mathematics, design, modeling, robotics and programming.

In this edition, an average of 2 thousand students of three educational levels are expected.

During the inauguration of the championship, the students who were present performed a demonstration on the robotic courts that are used for the competitions.

One of the robots created by the students themselves is programmed to catch chips and later insert them into a basketball-type basket.

Despite the fact that it seems like a simple job, it requires mathematical calculations so that the robot component can launch the chips.

The activities will take place in the Dome of the Fair, where there are at least three tables for competitions to throw discs and another three tables where there are basketball-type baskets.
