«On October 18, Professor Ronaldo Veitía arrived in Cuba. Since his return to the country was confirmed, the Institute of Sports Medicine designed a strategy to follow up and accompany his recovery process, “the statement states.
Veitía was treated at the Hermanos Ameijeiras hospital, “whose medical team recommended the steps to be taken from now on, after leaving the center. A multidisciplinary group from our institution has maintained communication with the professor’s relatives and with professionals from healthcare centers in his health area, offering logistical and human resource support,” the IMD reported.
