History of the tennis player from Veracruz Hanne Estrada: everything about her beginnings in sport – Diario de Xalapa

Veracruz, Ver.- While accompanying his brother to his tennis practice, Hanne, barely three years old, had her first contact with a racket without imagining that he would become one of the Veracruzan stars of this sport.

Now with 13 years old, Hanne Estrada aspires to be one of the top national and international figures inspired by its stars Roger Federer and the Polish Iga Swiatek being the only one from Veracruz playing tennis.

How did the tennis player Hanne start in the sport?

In an interview for Diario de Xalapa, Hanne recounts that she was between two and three years old when she had her first contact with a tennis racket, which the teachers gave her to entertain her while she waited for her brother’s practicewho also practiced the sport.

“I started in tennis when I was two or three years old, I accompanied my brother to his training sessions, they gave me a racket to entertain me and a teacher saw talent in me, so I started practicing”, express.

He mentions that his first participation was given to the 5 years in the city of Coatzacoalcoswhich became his first loss.

“In my first participation they let me serve from below, because I still did not have the serve from above, I had trained, but I still did not have the preparation, so they defeated me, but I took it as a lesson”, affirm.

Five years later and with more training, Hanne had her first national in the city of San Luis where she was the winner of the tournament that prompted her to continue in the sport until she reached her first international as a member of the International Tennis Federation (ITF).

“I have had several competitions, I already got my first ITF title when I went to Trinidad and Tobago for three weeks, in each tournament that I participated I see that I am advancing and I like it, I can’t see myself doing anything else”, mentions.

Which countries has Hanne visited thanks to tennis?

This sport has allowed him to perform in various competitions and thus travel around the world to countries like Guatemala, Bolivia, Peru, Trinidad and Tobago, El Salvador, United States, Dominican Republicamong a few more.

Hanne is second year high school student and takes his classes remotely allowing you to carry your training without neglecting your classes.

“I am in a special school for athletes, I take my classes online, before I attended normal classes, but since Covid I got used to being online that way I can train without problems”, affirm.

His dream is to attend a tennis world championship and qualify in the Grand Slam to follow in the footsteps of your favorite stars, Roger Federer the Swiss professional outfielder, as well as Iga Swiatekwho currently ranks first in the WTA which is the world ranking of professional female tennis players.

“I admire Federer, he is my favourite, he has already retired and of the girls my favorite is Iga Swiatek, I really like his game that is very attacking and going forward”, points.

Hanne assures that her greatest motivation to advance in this sport is at home where her parents, grandparents and brother encourage her to keep going, regardless of defeats, since everything is part of learning to achieve dreams.

“My dad played tennis when I was little and now my brother and I play tennis, when we go out to competitions we all travel as a family, my parents and grandparents are always aware of my tournaments, they motivate me a lot”, declare.
