Here is the big favorite of the 2022 World Cup according to the Football Observatory, Belgium 9th

In his weekly report (n°398)the Football Observatory has ranked the countries participating in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar according to the “Impact score”.

That is to say a score calculated from:

– “the average sporting level of the matches played by the players over the last 365 days;

the timing in official meetings during the same period of time;

the performance on the field compared to that of teammates and opponents, as well as compared to players of the same technical profile according to the role-based approach freshly developed also by the CIES Football Observatory.”

Taking into account the average of the 26 players selected, Brazil dominates this ranking, ahead of Spain and France, “while France would be the second main favorite if we refer to the average Impact Score of the ten highest rated outfield players and goalkeeper,” added The report.

Belgium ranks ninth, just behind the Netherlands but ahead of Croatia.
