HC Ibiza and Silvia Riera, on the list of the IB Esports Awards 2022

HC Ibiza, with a mention for sports merit, and the Ibizan Silvia Riera, nominated for best coach, have been chosen to receive these awards at the gala of the fifth edition of the IB Esports Awards 2022, organized by the Balearic Government through of the General Directorate of Sports to reward the best athletes and clubs of the 2021-22 season.

The list of winners has been announced after the awards jury met this Monday to vote on the candidacies presented and unanimously approved by the Balearic Sports Assembly at the beginning of the month, according to the Department of Social Affairs and Sports. , although said decision must be ratified by the Government Council before the gala, which will take place in Palma in the second half of December.

The winners in the male and female promise category are Izan Guevara (motorcycling) and Noa Djiu (basketball). The best male and female athletes are Augusto Fernández (motorcycling) and Mavi García (cycling).

By teams, the women’s prize goes to Avarca Menorca (Volleyball), and the men’s to Mallorca Palma Futsal (soccer).

The best coaches have been Kiko Martín (canoeing) and the Ibizan Silvia Riera (badminton).

And among the six mentions for sporting merit is that of HC Ibiza, along with those of Sete Benavides (canoeing), Marga Perelló (Sailing), Paula Barceló (sailing), Úrsula Pueyo (canoeing) and Constància CD (soccer).
