The Portuguese star has been honest in a television interview this Sunday and has revealed that the group led by Erik ten Hag tried to “force” his departure
Manchester United superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has made some very harsh statements in a televised interview about his situation at Manchester United. The Portuguese star has claimed to feel “betrayed”, while revealing that the group of the red devils tried to “force” his departure.
Far from limiting himself to these harsh statements, the former Real Madrid striker continued his confession to state that “Manchester United tried to force my departure. Not only the coach, but also the rest of the people around the club. I felt betrayed.”
Ronaldo has also had words for the ‘red-devils’ coach: “I don’t respect him because he doesn’t show me respect. If he doesn’t respect me, I will never respect him.”
The Portuguese, who will be in the World Cup in Qatar that will begin next week, has also referred to the criticism that the former Manchester United player, Wayne Rooney, has poured on him in recent weeks. “I don’t know why he criticizes me so badly… probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at a high level. I’m not going to say I look better than him, which is true.”
Thick in the Reale Arena
The Manchester United star visited the Reale Arena on the last day of the Europa League to play against Real Sociedad. The Portuguese was seen rather thick, he did not have too many opportunities, beyond a one on one against Remiro that went over the goal.
