[세계타임즈=구리시 이영진 기자] Guri City (Mayor Kyung-Hyeon Baek) is the Guri City Sports Association (President Kang Ye-seok) Guri City Badminton Association (Chairman Kim Yeon-tae) held at the Badminton Stadium in Paju for two days from the 19th to the 20th at the 「2022 Gyeonggi-do Governor’s Cup Sports Badminton Tournament」. He said he had achieved victory.
A total of 120 players from the Guri City Badminton Association participated in women’s doubles in their 20s and 50s, men’s doubles in their 30s and 60s, and mixed doubles in their 30s and 50s.
During the competition, he won the overall championship by winning 5 gold medals (40s and 50s), 3 silver medals (20s, 40s and 50s), and 3 bronze medals (30s and 40s).
Guri City Sports Association President Kang Ye-seok said, “It is thanks to the passion for badminton and steady practice of badminton club members in Guri that we were able to achieve good results in this competition following the overall victory of the last 「2022 Gyeonggi Provincial Association Long-Term Sports Badminton Competition」. We will continue to actively cooperate to vitalize the Badminton Association and expand its base,” he encouraged the players.
Meanwhile, Guri City Badminton Association President Kim Yeon-tae won the overall championship and was awarded a plaque in recognition of his efforts to develop badminton.
