Leon, Guanajuato.- “Punctuality is not an obligation, but a conviction”, with this phrase of Ismael Plascencia Nunezpresident of the Concamin Bajío, government authorities, private and social initiatives have committed to making Guanajuato the most punctual state in Mexico.

The promoter of the initiative, Ismael Plascencia Nunezexplained that the punctuality culture plan consists of four phases, the rest of the year will work on its implementation and next April will begin its “traffic light”, record who complies and who does not.
Alejandra Gutierrez Campospresident of León, accepted that it will not be easy, but she is confident that it will be achieved, because among the benefits to be obtained is a better quality of life, generating more wealth and raising awareness among the new generations.

In figures from the study carried out for the implementation of the punctuality culture project “I am punctual”:

- 68% consider that punctuality is a relative value.

- 43% said they arrive shortly before.
- 51% of Guanajuato residents value punctuality.
- 15% consider it a habit.
- 31% consider that punctuality is education.

In conclusion, for most Guanajuatenses it is normal to arrive a few minutes late.
