Guadalajara. Inauguration of the Mexican Badminton Open

The Mexican Badminton Open was officially inaugurated and will live its thirteenth edition from November 22 to 26 at the Arena Astros.

In total there will be 28 countries represented by 174 athletes. Leading the tricolor delegation will be Lino Muñoz and Haramara Gaitán as top exponents, both with experience in the Olympic Games, likewise, Job Castillo and Luis Montoya from Jalisco make up the list of Mexican representatives.

Luis Fernando Ortega Ramos, Director of Code Jalisco, highlighted the importance of continuing to support the development of this sport.

“For a long time, Jalisco did not have a development in this discipline, but little by little we have worked so that young people have the tools to demonstrate their talent. Today we can show off great athletes like Job Castillo,” he said.

The Arena Astros has three courts that will be the scene of this international tournament, which will be seconded by the first Iber-American Tournament of the specialty from November 25 to 28.
