Golden State Warriors twice advantage in the closing stages against Sacramento Kings

Lucky for the Golden State Warriors. As the NBA stated in its “Last Two Minute Report”, the Dubs benefited from several wrong decisions in the final phase of the home game against the Sacramento Kings.

Klay Thompson’s action in the last second caused the greatest trouble for the Kings on Tuesday night. He apparently fouled Kevin Huerter in his possible three-pointer to compensate. The referees let the action run, so Huerter didn’t go to the line for three free throws and Golden State won 116:113.

“The only thing I can do now is get a fine,” the Kings Guard commented a little later on Twitter. De’Aaron Fox also only laughed at the action on social media.

This was not the only wrong decision, as the NBA admitted. With 16 seconds remaining, the referees missed a stepping error by Stephen Curry, so according to the rules the Kings should have gotten the ball back if they were a point down.

Coach Mike Brown was correspondingly fed up after the game. “Of course there are mistakes in every game. I just want everything to be right at the end of a game,” said Brown. “My player gets hit in the arm when he throws a three, one of them takes six steps. It’s a step error.”

Bitter for the Kings: Just a few days ago, the team lost to the Miami Heat due to a wrong decision. With a record of 3-6, All-Star Domantas Sabonis’ team is 13th in the West.
